Deployment Sourcing & Kit Management Consultant (Field & Corporate Teams)

Purpose:

To design, source, assemble, and manage comprehensive deployment kits for both internal field teams and corporate teams, ensuring readiness, consistency, and operational excellence through structured bill of materials (BOM) management, strategic sourcing, logistics coordination, and lifecycle support of deployable resources across diverse organizational contexts.

Key Responsibilities:

1. BOM Development & Management (Field & Corporate)

• Develop and maintain role-specific and department-specific BOMs that define all necessary tools, devices, software, access credentials, documents, and personal items.

• Create modular BOMs for reusable kits (e.g., onboarding kits, site visit kits, technical kits, leadership travel kits).

• Standardize BOM templates across all operational domains and integrate into organizational systems (ERP, HRIS, Inventory, ITSM).

2. Sourcing & Procurement Coordination

• Source physical (laptops, uniforms, field tools, mobile devices) and digital (licenses, VPN tokens, communication tools) assets required for both field and corporate kits.

• Establish and manage relationships with internal procurement teams and external vendors.

• Maintain alignment with cost, quality, lead-time, and ESG/responsible sourcing standards.

• Collaborate with HR and IT to manage human-centered sourcing—availability of skills, clearances, and identity tools (e.g., badges, access cards).

3. Kit Assembly, QA, & Distribution

• Design efficient processes for staging, assembling, and validating field and corporate kits.

• Implement quality assurance protocols to verify contents and functionality before deployment.

• Coordinate last-mile logistics, shipping, and field/corporate delivery across geographies (urban, rural, international).

• Oversee kit return, refurbishment, and redeployment cycles.

4. Deployment Readiness Integration

• Align kit preparation with team deployment schedules (e.g., onboarding, field assignment, site mobilization).

• Track deployment statuses, readiness windows, and kit usage in real time.

• Integrate with team leaders and project managers to ensure kit-to-role matching is accurate and complete.

• Support first-day readiness for new hires or project teams by synchronizing kit delivery and provisioning.
